The Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship is a multi-year teaching placement for academics Interested in longer-term research and teaching in the United States. 

MULTI-YEAR PLACEMENTS AVAILABLE IN THE U.S.

Postdoctoral Teaching Fellows must teach at least four courses 
(three of which must be focused on modern Israel) and organize at least four Israel-related academic/community events each year.
Women, minorities, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

REQUIREMENTS

•    This program is open to Israeli scholars who possess Ph.D.s, have strong English skills, can teach 
      classes about modern Israel, and are willing to be placed at universities in the United States.
•    Candidates must be able to commit to three-year placements.

Our Visiting Faculty Program brings respected Israeli academics to teach courses about modern Israel at universities in the United States.

TEACHING PLACEMENTS IN U.S. AVAILABLE

The Visiting Faculty Program funds Israeli academics to teach courses about modern Israel at universities in the United States. This program gives both tenured and tenure-track scholars the opportunity to spend an academic year abroad teaching about Israel and expanding their academic circles, while granting students access to leading Israeli professors.

REQUIREMENTS

Visiting Faculty placements are open to tenured and tenure-track faculty and professors emeriti from Israeli universities and colleges. All applicants must possess a strong command of English and be able to teach courses about modern Israel.

Call for Applications: Tenure-track Appointment in The School of Political Science, Government and International Affairs, Tel Aviv University

 

The School of Political Science, Government, and International Affairs at Tel Aviv University invites applications for two open rank tenure-track positions. We welcome applications from all subfields in political science. Preference will be given to researchers specializing in comparative politics or international relations, as well as scholars studying the interaction between politics and technology. The term of appointment will begin on October 1, 2023.

 

Successful candidates must have a PhD in Political Science or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment. Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence and endorsements from referees of high standing. The successful candidate is expected to pursue an innovative research program. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Hebrew is the primary language of instruction at Tel Aviv University, and candidates must be able to teach courses in Hebrew within three years of their appointment.

 

Applicants should send a letter of interest along with a curriculum vitae, two writing samples, and brief research and teaching statements (no more than two pages for each statement). Interested individuals should send their applications to polijobs@tauex.tau.ac.il.

 

In addition, applicants should ask for three letters of recommendation (on letterhead, signed) that should be sent directly by the letter writers to the search committee via e-mail to polijobs@tauex.tau.ac.il by October 20, 2022.

 

The committee will begin reading applications on October 20, 2022, but may consider files received after this date. The School reserves the right to make (or not make) an appointment according to its exclusive consideration.
